Congrats! I got stressed out just reading this :). I haven't driven a manual in 10+ years... but you can't put it in neutral until you completely stop?!? I'd fail for sure.

They want you to downshift to 2 or even 1 as you're stopping, and once the car starts shaking as it's about to stall that's when my instructor said I could put it in neutral haha. Obviously I don't plan to do that in real life. My car in Nashville was a manual, so fortunately I had a lot of drive time on one, but the test car is old and no frills, so no hill assist or anything like that!
